Hart House has unique indoor and outdoor spaces make it the perfect venue for a wide variety of special events and celebrations: anniversaries, awards banquets, business meetings, corporate retreats, outdoor barbeques, retirement parties, seasonal parties, seminars, staff parties and wedding receptions.

The casual elegance of our restaurant and Private Function rooms, the fresh country atmosphere of our lawn and gardens, and the cozy charm of our Lakeside Cottage all provide memorable settings for special events. Please give us a call to advise us of your requirements and we will help determine which of our unique spaces would best suit your needs.

Once you have reserved your space at Hart House, we will work with you to plan your event. Hart House provides all food and beverage services; at your request our Chefs will be happy to work with you to develop a customized menu to suit the occasion. We can also suggest special menus for theme events.

Restaurant

The restaurant at Hart House seats 80. It includes an outdoor patio area equipped with umbrellas and heat lamps as well as a working indoor fireplace. Many of the tables in the main dining area offer an excellent view of Deer Lake.

The restaurant is available for special events on Saturdays only, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Private Rooms

Two Private Function rooms are located on the second storey of Hart House. While each room may be rented separately, they are joined by a passageway and may be rented as a single unit for larger gatherings. Up to 80 guests may be accommodated in a single room. If both rooms are rented, however, there is space for up to 100 sit-down guests, or 150 guests at a reception-style event. The larger room features a working fireplace; both rooms offer excellent views of the estate grounds.

The Private Function rooms are available from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM or from 6:00 PM to midnight.

Lakeside Cottage

Hart House’s Lakeside Cottage is a glass-walled building with a spectacular view of the estate lawns and Deer Lake. The cozy Cottage seats up to 36 guests and features a working fireplace, perfect for rainy afternoons.

The Lakeside Cottage is available to rent from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or from 6:00 PM to midnight.

Back Lawn

The Hart House lawn provides a romantic setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions along with a great area for a corporate croquet tournament. The gardens also serve as an ideal backdrop for photographs. The back lawn can accommodate up to 250 guests under a marquee. Rental of the lawn also includes use of the Lakeside Cottage.

The lawns at Hart House are available for rental from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM or from 6:00 to midnight.
