BANQUET COOK


Hart House Restaurant is hiring a full-time cook who is specializes in preparing and cooking for Banquets and Weddings

·      Term:                  Full time, 40 hours/week, permanent, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening

·      Salary:                $15.50 per hour

·      Overtime rate:     $23.25 per hour

·      Vacation:            10 vacation days / 4% of vacation pay

·      Number of positions: 1

·      Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·      Prepare and cook full-course meals as well as individual dishes and food for banquets, weddings, tastings while maintaining day to day preparation;

·      Rotate between the kitchens on property to assist where needed;

·      Accommodate special meals for individuals with dietary or health concerns;

·      Schedule, supervise and train kitchen helpers;

·      Oversee kitchen operations;

·      Set up the kitchen; and,

·      Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

 

Job Requirements for the position are:

·      High school diploma;

·      Food Safety Certificate;

·      One year of commercial cooking experience is an asset;

·      Ability to work in busy restaurant environment; and,

·      Experience preparing dishes for clients with dietary restrictions, intolerances or allergies is an asset.
